The cinema version of River Studies selects excerpts of five rivers (Nile, Danube, Ganges, Brahmaputra, Amazon River) - 10 minutes each - and plays it back in DCP Cinemascope format.
The animation of what is originally a still image captured by a linescan camera blurs the boundary between photography and film/video, between documentation and the (re)construction of reality.
